History

  • The Anishinabe people originated lived by the eastern coastal lands of the North American continent. 

  • The words: Ojibwe, Chippewa is not the original word to identify the Anishinabe people.  Chippewa is a corrupt word of Ojibwe.

  • Ojibwe is a word in the Anishinabe language to describe the condition of their foot gear or the process of fire curing the seams of their foot gear in order to waterproof them.

 

 


 

 
The original five dodems were Awause, Businause, Ahahwauk, Noka, and Monsone or Waubishashe.
