MONTPELIER - Gov. Chris Shumlin offers signed into law a bill calling for every 3- in addition to 4-year-old inside Vermont to get access to no less than 10 hrs a week of publicly financed, pre-kindergarten education and learning. Backers of the bill point out it will put about $10 million annually in costs to the says Education Account by 2021. But they the measure will save much more over time because a lot of the children is going to be given an excellent enough academic start that special education and corrections costs will probably be reduced. The bill contains a supply allowing public money to follow a child through his or her home school district to another one, like where a father or mother works. Some critics of the measure point out they are at odds of that supply. Copyright 2014 The Related Press. Almost all rights set aside.
