BENGALURU: Flipkart has joined with Italian fashion company Pitti Immagine, Indias Arvind and creative designers including Timzy Batra in addition to Prithvi Rao to help sellers on its marketplace create designs in accordance with global trends. Trendstalk, a program that the e-tailer has recently launched, carries insights on worldwide fashion trends -- including colour palettes, reduces, designs and fabric direction - along with forecsasts to help sellers create and list products that buyers would likely look for. With this move, we have been essentially democratizing fashion and giving an opportunity to budding developers, exporters and brands to produce a niche on their own in line with current and next period trends, said Rishi Vasudev, VP (fashion) at Flipkart. This info was previously only available to big trend houses in addition to brands. Apart from sharing trends plus insights within the seller site, Flipkart can also be organizing off-line workshops every season to be able to handhold these sellers through their subsequent collection.
